The centenary of the Republic of China (ROC) is coming! Decades of effort by the people and the government have transformed the nation from an economic backwater, with per capita income of just U.S. $ 130 in the years following World War in a model of modern democracy, market. Today, the nation's proud achievements in politics, the rule of law, economic development, technology, literature, art and society are innumerable.
This photographic exhibition explores the development of the Republic of China during the last century, encourages visitors to remember the past, to cherish the present and look toward the future. All aspects of life are on display: politics, economics, education and culture, agriculture, technology and environment and social assistance.
These pictures illustrate the flowering of the nation's transformation and diversity, creativity and tolerance in the hundred years since the founding of the Republic of China.
Visitors to the exhibition will be exposed and gain a greater understanding of what went into making the Republic of China what it is today, and why the centennial of the nation is a happy occasion.
