Chilean poet belonging to the so-called" Generation 1938 ", Gonzalo Rojas Pizarro (Lebu, December 20, 1917 - Santiago, April 25 2011). His work is part of the continuous tradition of Latin American literary avant-garde of the twentieth century. Widely recognized Hispanic American, was awarded, among others, the Reina Sofia Award for Latin American Poetry 1992, the National Prize for Literature in Chile 1992 and the Cervantes Prize 2003 ( source).
