What Do You Write In A Baby's Baptism Card?
Garzón and the Law
several days I've been biting my nails every time I open The Country in the morning because the matter Garzón. Special attention to the absurd column today Rosa Montero. We all know the facts: the Supreme Court after a unanimous decision (unanimous I stress) of the Board of Admissions, has been charged for the crime of prevarication, that is, to have knowingly given serious negligence or inexcusable ignorance, a unjust resolution in relation to their research on missing Franco. Moreover, it is sued by two other issues, one on the Gürtel to use recordings of conversations between lawyers and their clients.
I can understand that there are opinions, not only the character but for defendant on the merits, the crimes of the Franco regime. What I can not understand is that public opinion with such recklessness. And among them highlight the two major unions, the other day did a ceremony at the Complutense while unemployment is galloping at home in this country. It bothers me to see members of the Government and the opposition say so very much of judicial decisions as if they were commentators. I see a terrible act of irresponsibility, we'll see if he is guilty or not, let alone the judiciary of this country, so politicized and blocked because of the same critics.
I find despicable attack the argument of those who submitted the complaint, as a far-right party. Could it be that they are not subject to the law? What harassment is a unanimous decision, both progressive and conservative judges? And why can not think that just Garzón was wrong?
Because that's my opinion and is based on the following argument: Justice and Law are not the same. A judge must respect Law, strictly follow the established process and with maximum guarantees. Garzón initiated a process I knew that I was competent and that no charges alive.
Everything else is intentionally mixing form and substance, what is moral and what is desirable, if Garzon plays well with peers or not, if we have done everything possible to victims of Franco, the definition of Universal Justice ...
